Waiting...

Here we are in mid-August, ready for action!

NOTE: I was in the other room and I heard Morgan talking, so I came out to find this. Then I got the camera and crawled under the table in order to capture this shot. It's all about the angles and he has no idea that I'm behind him.

Golf Flipbook

I took the pictures, all you need to do here is print these pictures out and then make your own flipbook. (If you're not going to take my guidance here, then try scrolling really fast.)

Check out that spray chart :)

Bug Catcher Extraordinaire

The month of August was busy for the bug catcher.
Here we have captured a frog.

Through the looking glass

One day I was moving the trash can and found a snake!
Morgan look! Quick Dad! Get the bug catcher!!
As you can tell from these pictures, as opposed to the frog pics, they are taken inside the house!

This overlay pic didn't work as well, unfortunately I was down a few stairs from Morgan, so it's just a bad angle. However, it is pretty cool that Morgan got his face this close to the snake!

Exercisin' Duo

We're still in July with these pics and we're still in Buffalo...
Mom is doing a video...Morgan is doing whatever Mom does.

Then our little entrepreneur explains some ideas for a kids video.

...and a good closing stretch. Who needs Gymboree?

A Trip to Buffalo

At the end of July, we went to Buffalo for Aunt Pat and Uncle Eddie's 50th wedding anniversary!
We had a week in NY before going heading on to PA. Among our NY adventures, we went to Canal Fest. It was a lot of walking, but it was a great day. It was also fairly crowded, so the stroller was a must...and it also works out pretty well when the eyelids get too heavy. I secured some shade for Morgan and engaged the wheel lock on the stroller, then took advantage of the tree to set the stroller in a reclined position. Meanwhile, somebody went to McDonald's and came back with an extra quarter pounder that we didn't pay for...I was able to push thru it.

While some of us can just sleep the day away, others of us need to keep moving! Ed figured Morgan would wake up once he tossed him off this bridge into the canal - he was right.

We snuck off for a few days on our own to the Falls. They have people that just wander around waiting to take a picture with your camera for you. It's a little odd (to me).

A Visit from Family

In mid-July, Aunt Nancy and Nicole finally made their first trip to RI! In honor of the occasion we checked off some of the staples, like Newport and Waterfire. We had to weather the red tide to get to the ocean...yuck!

But it was worth it for some of us that happened to get swung back and forth kicking up water.

I don't know if we didn't take any photos at waterfire or if just don't have any, but we're skipping ahead to Buttonwoods Farm, which has an amazing sunflower field and their own ice cream! There was a line to get on the tractor ride thru the fields and it was a HOT day.

Yay! We're on a tractor!

I'm pretty sure that we photoshopped ourselves in here. (just kidding - thanks Aunt Nancy!)

Ice cream time! What's the best ice cream in the world? Peppermint stick!! If you don't know, I just feel sorry for you (Morgan does too, that's what we're talking about here).

Like I said, it was ridiculously hot, in fact, behind me someone passed out, Morgan was none the wiser and we kept it that way. Well, this was our Sunday morning outing and from here the girls headed home. It was a whirlwind of a trip, but we know how to pack in the entertainment!

Thanks for coming! Hope to see you next year!

Block Island

For my Aunt's mid-July birthday, my Uncle setup an excursion to Block Island. It was a surprise for my Aunt that the rest of us were going to be there. The weather leading up to the weekend was less than ideal, but when the day came, it couldn't have been better!

I don't know how this came to be, but the fact that it was caught on film is outstanding.

Morgan is filling a bucket with sand, Maeve is burying my feet as much as possible to ensure that I am a sturdy base. Do you know the scene in Teen Wolf where he surfs on top of the van? That's what happened next - Maeve was Teen Wolf, I was the van.

After a long day at the beach, ice cream really hits the spot!

It's an hour ferry ride to and from the island.
After a long day in the sun, Morgan was out in no time.

He woke up crying for a moment, then he was just in a daze. He took a little sunburn to the face and his lip actually blistered, but it didn't bother him at all.
