The Last Treat

Wrapped up in only a towel after a refreshing shower, Morgan snacks on some raisins, while he and Grandma was some fireworks on TV.

That's all for this latest sync of the camera. Hopefully it won't be long until the next one!

Andover on the 4th

Growing up, I'm not sure if there was a 4th of July that we weren't in Andover (not one that I recall anyway). This is Morgan's first...Nolan I'm unsure about, so let's just say it's the first one that the three of us have shared :)

Parked on the curb in the hot sun, waiting for the parade to start.

Nolan elected to borrow my hat as a means of escape. The boys are at attention awaiting a candy toss from an approaching float.

I've got Morgan in a nice patriotic shirt for the 4th. Here he's posing with the passing motorcycles.

There were a LOT of motorcycles.

Later the boys commandeered a police cruiser.

Run the sirens and lights!

Eventually the police officer had to be on his way, thanks for the entertainment!

Down the big slide at the school's playground!

Passing smoothly between the pedastals...

...and stopping to pose :)

Taking a break to talk to Mom, who was back in RI.

Miss you, Love you.

It was a long day, so it didn't take long for Morgan to crash on the way home.

Nolan got to have some fun with it!

Rest well Partner.

Honeoye

Ohhh! This is going to be so exciting!!

Here we are on the 3rd of July at the Walsh's place. There's a beautiful pond.

A firepit with volleyball and a barn in the background.

It was a hot day so Morgan took time out to stay hydrated.

Time to get out on the pond!

Welcome cousin Nolan!

I took the paddle boat out to the float and dropped the kids off.

There's no agenda here, they've got all the time in the world to relax.

There was a 4 wheeler there that for a few hours Morgan wanted no part of, then he changed his mind...without coming to me first. I saw this view from quite a distance and got on scene in a hurry.

Then Morgan took me for a ride!

We spent some more time out on the water.

And crashed on the float.

Morgan played a little foosball in the barn.
(Note: he's at the perfect height for the rods to poke him in the throat or chest)

Morgan handled a real fishing pole for the first time...

...and got right to casting!

AND I caught a fish!

The cousins enjoyed some time on the swing

Lastly, Morgan enjoyed his first outdoor camping experience!

As you can see, there was no shortage of entertainment and we packed a lot into a day!

RI Airshow

We went to the airshow! It was very sunny and very hot. What's the main feature at the airshow?? The Blue Angels. When do we leave? Right before them. Morgan doesn't like the noise. He brought some cars and did some driving between aerial features.

Morgan wears one of my hats when he has his ear muffs on because it fits over his head. I must have been eating something that left residue in my teeth because this photo and the one above I'm doing some heavy tongue work. Also as I mentioned, it was pretty hot, so you know how much fun this picture is :)

Do you know when you see rainbows? After it rains...so do you know what this is?
A BIG TEASE!!

A chopper swung in to figure out this rainbow business, but no sense could be made of the matter...

There was some downtime between loud events, so Morgan chose to take a break from the ear muffs and don his own hat, while I yielded my sunglasses. Here you can catch a bit of his shirt which has clouds and jets on it. Perfect for the airshow!

A Stitch In Time

The final post from my parents visit is a tutorial with my mother and Morgan tandem knitting an afghan square.

Loop and loop and loop.

A Railway Excursion

All aboard! We're off on nice little train ride in Newport.

Hold on tight 'cause here we go!

Wouldn't this have been better if I wasn't wearing glasses?

A view from the caboose

Lovin' it!

Look at that carrier!

Snuggling and tickling

Cruizin and Snoozin
